How can you benefit from your love for fitness?

Have you ever wondered how you can start creating a change in your life by helping your friends and your community?
Most women I know blame their weight gain into having become a mother, or the stress of life, and the biggest one is actually lack of time, which comes with having a full time job and family.

I have to confess that I was not always into fitness; in fact I was a pastry chef and loved my life in the restaurant industry… That was true, until I started a family.

If you have children you know how much a baby can change you, and it is not about the sleepless nights or changing your art décor into child proofed gadgets, is about your life as an individual.

I was lucky enough to find out that doing fitness could actually mean getting an extra income while I could stay at home with my family, no more work on the weekends or holidays, or even a 9-6 job that will mean more expenses with day care or after school programs.

My life in the fitness industry completely changed my life, it started officially 5 years ago, when my girls were 1 and 3 years old. Now I can say that I am financially independent and I am happy to do things I could never imagine if I had continued to work full hours at the office or in the restaurant. I am not saying people have to quit their job, all I’m saying is that there is a huge potential on this industry to make a substantial side income or slowly work your way to replace your current income.

Just keep in mind that the weight loss industry is projected to grow in 2013 to a 66 billion industry!!

Ok, it is not about the money, even if you would like to get a chunk of that number, money should not be the drive that moves you into this industry. Why? Because getting into this industry for the money can only bring stress into your life every time you get a “no”, trust me, you will get lots of no’s. If you genuinely care about the people you will be helping, the money will come naturally, your drive should always be the desire to help others live a better life.

Why can this help you? Well, other than fulfilling the desire to help other people, and the fact that you can create a substantial side income, I believe that the biggest plus is the fact that you will have to live by example. It’s kind of like becoming a parent and all of a sudden it’s not ok to cross the streets in other place than the cross walk! You start behaving differently once people start depending or counting on you, you live by example with the excitement of your new life.

Before 5 years ago, I have always lived in a fitness yo-yo, going to the gym for 2 straight months and then not showing up for 5 weeks, going back every day for 2 consecutive weeks and then stopping because I couldn’t make it happen; I was a New Year’s Resolution kind of person, going from January 1st until Valentines’ Day came across with all the candy and the chocolate, feeling guilty, not having the energy… until I felt the pressure again right before summer time. And so that was my life, half way through fitness, half way away from it.

Until I decided to make it my life and help people on their desire to get fit, never had I imagined that the simple move will help me become healthier and happier. I have not missed a workout in almost 5 years (take two weeks for me getting sick with the flu), I am in the best shape of my life at age 38, with 2 girls, one husband and one busy, busy life. I have this business to thank for that!

That’s exactly why I want to fill my team with people who love to exercise and are either super enthusiast about exercise and nutrition or want to be. All you need is a will; the rest could lead to the best time of your life!
